The Basement were a five piece band performing classic soul, Motown and northern soul tracks.

The Basement's journey is now over!

After some 11 years and for a variety of reasons - some simple, some more complicated, we decided to call time on the band.

And just to clarify, we are all fit and well (for a bunch of older blokes!)

Sincere apologies to all the venues where we were due to appear during the remainder of 2026 and to you, if you were planning on going to any of them.

As a band, we would like to thank everyone who has been part of the line-up over the past 11 years, even if only for a short time -

To all the venues, whether pubs, bars or clubs where we have performed, thank you so much for giving us the chance to play for you.

To all our many wonderful followers, thank you for your love and support over the years - it's really meant a lot to us.

Possibly our biggest regret, is not realising at the time, that our last blast on stage together, was at Shafton WMC on 11th April ('26), but we think we did ourselves proud.

Finally, thanks to everyone who came to any of our shows, who danced, laughed and sang along with us.

We've had the best time, thanks to you xx
